How To Create Smokey Eyes For a Daytime Look

One would think that smoky eyes are just for nighttime “come get me” look; with the right set of eye shadows colors, smoky eyes can become a great daytime option as well.
There are a few steps you need to think about when creating smoky eyes as a daytime option.

Step one: You need to decide what shade of eye shadows you are going to use. Dark, rich colors are amazing at night, but during the day not really your best option. What you want are really your more natural shades (browns, taupe’s, and grays) which will look softer. Colors that are not skin tones shades such as greens, blues and plums are going to stand more. The choice is yours but if you are really new at creating smoky eyes, natural colors are just easier to work with.
Step two: Choose a texture; are you going to wear shimmers or mattes? Shimmer shades of eye shadow can be easier to work with, as well as blend easier; mattes on the other hand require a bit more skill.
Step three: Use the flat side of your makeup brush to apply a base eye shadow or primer from lash to up under your eyebrow. Your base eye shadow should be a neutral shade, matte eye shadow, makeup primer or even foundation so that when you apply the other eye shadows, it will stay put. A neutral shade will also help neutralize your eyelid’s natural coloring. Remember to pick three eye shadows, a light, medium and dark all in the same coloring to work with, example browns, grays, taupe’s etc.
Step four: After applying your light eye shadow choice, you are going to want to apply your medium shade from the lash line to the crease of your eyelid. This is going to open and lift your eye up.
Step five: Using the pointy end of your makeup brush apply the same medium shade to your lower lash line. Start about the center of your lower lash line, just below your iris. Move the brush slowly back and forth so as not to overdo it. Smoky liner under your eyes can make your eyes look bigger, but it can exaggerate flaws like if you got close set eyes, or droopy corners. If your eyes are close set, you do not want liner all the way into the inner corners, which will just make your eyes look even smaller.
Step six: Take time to experiment with the thickness of liner under your lower lash line. Remember the idea is not a hard solid line; the more smudged and broken the better. But also be careful that you don’t look like you forgot to take your makeup off from the night before. The bedroom smudged look is just that, for the bedroom, not the office. Once you have learn what looks best on you its really easy to recreate smoky eyes daytime look every day.
Extra special step: If you want more definition, use a third eye shadow that is darker shade but still in the same family.
Apply a generous helping of mascara and your Magic Lash and there you go! A daytime smokey eyes you can wear every day..

How to Make Your Eyelashes Look Lush

What you may not know is mascara it self has wax in it. There are different types of wax that maybe used. Sometimes that wax can develop crystal formations that prevent it from going on smoothly.
Using a thinner mascara may help if you have this happening often in the brand that you are using. The best mascara is one that is on a medium size brush that isn’t too thick and easy to use. Mascara should apply easily without tugging on your lashes.
1~ Best tips of all to avoid clumping and smudging always wipe the mascara wand lightly with a tissue before applying it. If you apply mascara to your bottom lashes the best tip to stop it from smudging is to run a Q-tip over the tips of your lashes to remove any extra mascara.
If your mascara is clumpy then you need to use a lash comb to remove the excess mascara. There are a few on the market today, we use the Perfect Lash Comb because that is just what it does, it removes excess mascara. It works great if you are using Magic Lash with your mascara but you need to be careful and not remove all of it. Some thickness is what you need with Magic Lash.
When applying mascara apply upwards from below the upper lashes going outwards. Some say go side to side and then upwards. The reason is it leaves more mascara on your lashes to work with. Making them look fuller and fatter.
Did you know that there is a reason for the different shapes of mascara wands? The bigger and fatter the wand the fuller it should make your lashes. If you have a thin wand you are only going to apply a small amount of mascara on your lashes. Great for those who want to wear it but do not want to look like that they are.
Another way to make your lashes look lush is to apply a thin line of eyeliner at the base of the lashes. This is also help cover up if you have light lashes as well.
Curling your lashes before applying your mascara will also help them look really lush. Just remember that mascaras are best if replaced every 3 months or so as they dry out.

How to Wear Dark Eye Shadow

Eyeshadow, when applied properly, can enhance, or even change, the shape of the eye. By applying dark eyeshadow you can create depth and add drama for an amazing evening look. By using the following techniques, you can apply dark eyeshadow with ease and avoid looking like a serious fashion “don’t”.

Before beginning, you will need the following supplies:

~ The makeup basics: foundation, concealer, eye brightener, highlighting powder and mascara and Magic Lash
~Your favorite brand of black eyeliner (opt for the pencil, not liquid)
~An angled eyeshadow brush
~Dark eyeshadow of your choice
~Light and shimmery eyeshadow

To begin, you will need to apply your foundation, concealer, eye brightener, highlighting powdered and your other makeup basics before applying your eyeliner and eyeshadow. Usually, eyeliner is applied after applying eyeshadow, if you want to create a smoky look, start with the black eyeliner before adding eyeshadow. Create a line that starts at the outer corner of your eyelid and work towards the end of your lashes. Make sure to work as near to the lash line as possible.

Next, you will need to use an angled eyeshadow brush to apply your dark eyeshadow, apply it directly over the eyeliner and gently work it in with the brush to smudge the eyeliner. Ensure that the edges and the entire length of the line is well blended.

After applying the eyeshadow, blend gradually up your eyelid to the crease and work the powder into your skin. After blending, apply a light white or cream shimmery eyeshadow above the crease up towards the eyebrows. By adding a light and shimmery eyeshadow, you will make your eyes pop.

Apply your eyeliner once again. This time start at the outer corner of the lid, starting just beyond and above the inner corner of the eye. Then apply eyeliner to the bottom lid as well and smudge the lower line as well.

Complete your look by adding curling your eyelashes and applying mascara with Magic Lash to really make your whole look really stand out.
